CGST (Central GST) and SGST (State GST) each equal half the total GST rate for intra-state supply. For inter-state supply, IGST (Integrated GST) equals the full rate. The split is equal — 9% CGST + 9% SGST for an 18% rated item.

Non-AC restaurants: 5% GST with no input tax credit. AC restaurants: 5% GST. Hotels with room tariff above Rs.7,500: 18% GST on food and beverages. Check the specific restaurant's invoice for the applicable rate.
CGST = SGST = Total GST ÷ 2. For 18% GST: CGST = 9%, SGST = 9%. For 28% GST: CGST = 14%, SGST = 14%. The split is always equal for intra-state transactions.
